Fatima, Lourdes & Paris
Day 1 : USA - Lisbon
Start the pilgrimage tour as we leave airport for an overnight flight to Lisbon. Meals are served onboard.
Day 2 : Lisbon - Santarem - Fatima
After breakfast, enjoy an orientation drive through Lisbon to
include Belem Tower guarding the mouth of the Tagus
River, Jeronimo's monastery with its tomb of Vascoe de
Gama. Cotinue to Santarem site of the Eucharistic Miracle
of the Bleeding Host. Continue to Fatima, the place where
the Blessed Mother appeared in 1917 to the three shepherd
children. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
Day 3 : Fatima
After breakfast, celebrate Mass at the Little Chapel of the Apparitions. Continue the tour of Fatima to include the Chapel of Apparitions, the basilica- site of Francisco's and Jacinta's graves, the hamlet of Aljustrel where the children lived, the Valinhos- site of our lady's appearance after the children returned from prison. Join pilgrims from around the world in an evening candlelight procession to pray the rosary. Dinner and overnight in Fatima.
Day 4 : Fatima - Nazare - Batalha - Fatima
After breakfast, enjoy a tour to Nazare. Continue to visit Batalha Monastery. Return to Fatima for dinner and overnight.
Day 5 : Fatima - Coimbra - Burgos
After breakfast we depart to the city of Coimbra, the famous
university town. We will see the incorrupt body of St. Isabel
and the Carmelite cloister where Sister Lucia still lives.
Continue into Spain to the city of Burgos to see the gothic
Cathedral. Dinner and overnight in Burgos.
Day 6 : Burgos - Lourdes
The fountainhead of the Renaissance-city of Dante, Boccaccio,
Botticelli and DA Vinci. Enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the
city atop Pizzale Michaelangelo, followed by the tour of the
Academy of Fine Arts where Miachaelangelo's proud "David"
stands. We will visit the majestic Cathedral built in 1296,
Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery with its renowed
"Gates of Paradise" doors. We will follow the medieval streets
to the most striking square in Florence, Piazza Della Signoria
and then to Santa Crece Church, Michaelangelo's final resting
place. A short drive to the most instantly recognizable building
in all he Western World - The leaning Tower of Pisa - if it
were straight, it would measure 180 feet. Dinner and
overnight in Florence.
Day 7 : Lourdes
After breakfast we can start our guided tour of Lourdes: The sanctuary
of the Basilica of St Pius X, the world's largest underground church.
Also to be visited are sites associated with the life of Saint Bernadette,
like the Boly Mill - where she was born; the local Mill -residence of
her parents; the Cachot - formerly used as a jail where she lived at the
time of the Apparitions; the chapel - where she received her first Holy
Communion; and the Parish Church - containing the baptismal font
where she was baptized. In the afternoon we may join the million of
Pilgrims on the Blessed Sacrament Procession and Blessing of the sick.
After dinner we can again join candle-light procession.
Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.
Day 8 : Lourdes - Paris
After breakfast depart towards Paris "The City of Lights'. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 9 : Paris
After breakfast we start our tour of the beautiful city. Visit the
Notre Dame Cathedral, the Champs Elysees, L'Arc de Triomphe,
the Eiffel Tower, the church of the Sacré Coeur, enjoy a guided
tour of a stunning example of Gothic Architecture that took two
centuries and armies of medieval workers to complete -'
The Notre Dame Cathedral., and the Church of St. Vincent De
Paul. Continue to visit the Shrine of the Miraculous Medal;
the place where our Lady appeared to Saint Catherine Laboure
in 1830. Possibility of enjoying a wonderful one hour Cruise
of the Seine River. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 10 : Paris - Versailles - Paris
After breakfast we will travel about 11 miles southwest of Paris to visit Versailles best known as the site of the magnificent Palace of Versailles, built by King Louis X1V during the 1600's and was the royal residence for more than 100 years and the beautiful grounds around it consist of a garden, (plants are arranged in colorful geometric patterns around fountains and pools) and a park which cover about 250 acres (101 hectares). We'll be able to stroll through the same legendary rooms and gardens which have been enjoyed by generations of French Royalty. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 11 : Paris - U.S.A
After breakfast transfer to the airport after your unforgettable pilgrimage for your return flight back home.
